included in the Victoria Fort Brick Project: The Fort Victoria Brick Project
was an undertaking of the Greater Victoria Civic Archives Society, which
sought to commemorate early Victoria pioneers and settlers by outlining
the boundaries of the original fort with a double row of bricks, each engraved
with the name of a pioneer.

was a Member of the House of Commons of British Columbia in
1872, the first Jewish Member of Parliament in Canada.10,11"Among those who have the title of an "Honorable" for life in consequence
of being a member of the Legislative Council of British Columbia at the
time of the union with Canada is HENRY NATHAN" in 1873.13 He was elected Junior Grand Warden of the Grand Lodge of British Columbia.8 He and Henry Nathan Sr. were included in the
Victoria Fort Brick Project; The Fort Victoria Brick Project was an undertaking

the Victoria Fort Brick Project indicate that it was the father who was
the Member of Parliametn, not the son, as indicated in The Jjewish Victorian.]
